The new Skoda Roomster Hull is produced by the Czech Automaker Skoda Auto. This model was first announced in March 2006 at the Geneva Auto Show as a model that was going into production. Sales of the new Skoda Roomster Hull started in June 2006.
The new Skoda Roomster Hull is the brands first car since the Volkswagen Group first took over the brand. This car is unique and not based on any of the existing Volkswagen Group platform.
The new Skoda Roomster Hull shares components with its previous Skoda Octavia model aswell as the Skoda Fabia. The new Skoda Roomster Hull name was based on a combination of two words, Room and Roadster, due to the split personality due to the design with a carefully honed 'driving room' ahead of the B-pillars, and a generous 'living room' to the rear.
